Conditions as are applicable to School Children for the 1 Day Programme

  1. Please read and understand clearly before joining The Programme: (Essential that Parents and or Guardians read and understand)
  2. The Programme will be conducted on Saturdays, Sundays and any other Holidays.
  3. The Programme is open to Males {boys}and Females.{girls} between the ages of 15 and 20 yrs.
  4. The maximum participation is 40 and the minimum will be 25.
  5. All applicants. should be prepared to participate in mixed groups

Punctuality:

      1. All events will commence sharp on time. No timings will be changed as a result of a Participant (Lesson 1) ARRIVING LATE OR FALLING BACK
      2. Coach will leave Colombo sharp on time 6 am - The route is stated for late comers to catch up -But it is NOT encouraged
      3. Departure time at the end of the programme will be 6 pm. All participants desirous of using the Coach should be in it cleaned or otherwise. Those who wish to use own transport to go back may do so after informing The Proramme -coordinator
      4. Participants must cooperate in moving quickly from point to point and focusing exclusively on the Programme.

Meals:

      1. Participants may bring their own packed breakfast and drink and consume it in the coach[No Breakfast will be provided]. Be practical in bringing your meal and drink.
      2. Drinking Water will be available in the changing rooms and through out However if participants wish to bring their own Bottled water they may do so..
      3. Mid-day Drink will be provided. Chilled Fresh juice Prepared hygienically with clean filtered water.
      4. Mid-day meal/Lunch. Lunch will be provided. It will be Rice and Curry. No Fast-Foods or food carried will be permitted. Local Vegetables and white and red Rice with Fruits for Afters. Note: It is a part of processing your mind; Adaptation.[Lesson Two]
      5. Prior to departure a Hot Drink will be provided.

NOTE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS

The programme will be conducted at Kapuwella Estate, Napawela, Avissawella. The location is a Rubber Plantation. The approach road up to the Estate is reasonably good except the last 2 km. The estate road requires a 4 wheel drive vehicle or a high chassis vehicle or you may walk 1km to the bungalow. from the car park.

You are welcome to be at the premises even though it is not in the interest of your child. I would not encourage your presence. Often it inhibits independence. I will make available the sparse facilities[Toilets, T.V., Bed Room, Refrigerator, Gas cooker,] of the bungalow BUT the useage of the bugalow is subject to the following conditions:

      1. You should not leave the bungalow premises and follow your child around the Course.
      2. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you consume liquor or bring liquor to the premises. This includes Beer or Wine. etc
      3. No meals and water (Drinking) will be provided Please bring your snacks.
      4. Numbers are restricted to only 2 representatives per participant.
      5. A nominal charge of Rs 500/= (Five Hundred) per representative (i.e. include Two People) will be charged as a maintenance fee for the use of the Bungalow.
      6. Please do NOT damage my fittings or pick the flowers and fruits in the garden.

Changing Rooms and Change of Clothes

      1. All participants should wear loose clothes and a pair of shoes suitable for Running on rough terrain/ground.
      2. Ideally a Track – Suit . Simply wear whatever you have. – There is no one to give any Brownie points for clothes. (Lesson Three– Simplicity)
      3. It is necessary that you bring a change of Clothes to travel back in. A Towel, a cake of Soap, brush & comb, and some form of foot wear to travel back.
      4. Girls must NOT be dressed in shorts[to avoid cuts and bruises] or clothes that will be transparent when wet.
      5. You may wear caps, belts, boots, overalls, Jumpsuits, Denims
      6. A proper changing room with clean toilets are provided. Time will be Limited within these rooms.
      7. Bring your extras in a bag preferably lockable and with your name tag
      8. NO MOBILES, NO I PODS, NO CAMERAS. NO Electronic items will . be permitted beyond the changing rooms., at Kapuwella.
      9. The management will not take responsibility for the loss of any items even Though the Changing Room will be secured.

    Parents and guardians must sign an indemnification statement releasing the International Security Consultants Pvt Limited and its Directors and Employees from any claims against anccidents and injuries.

    All participants must board the Coach at the starting point Prliminary instructions will be issued on the Coach. Route followed by coach by, SSC,Parliaent Malabe. Godagama Jnc Highleval Rd Talduwa.Gurugalla. Napawela.

    Language of instruction will be English but Sinhales and Tamil will be provided.

    Boarding point Vidya Place /Maitland Place Junction adjoining SSC grounds and Sports Ministry grounds Starting Time 6am return to same point approximately 8pm
